Membership Terms

Western Range Club is a private hunting club, operated by Western Range Club, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. It signs agreements with landowners, ranches, and sporting properties, and it offers its members access to that network. It is not an outfitter, a guide service, a licensing authority, or the operator of any property.

Your membership is with the club. Your hunt is on somebody else’s ground. The club does not own, lease, control, or manage the properties in the network, and is not a party to what happens on them.

Discovery, availability, and booking run on HunterPass, which has its own terms and its own privacy policy. Joining the club means agreeing to both.

This site describes the club and invites enquiries. It is not an offer of membership and nothing on it creates a membership agreement. Membership begins when the club accepts an application and the initiation fee is paid.

Members must be adults able to enter a binding contract, and must hold — and keep current — every licence, tag, permit, and hunter-education certificate that the state and the property require.

The club verifies these before you can request days. Giving false information in that process ends a membership immediately and without refund.

Membership is personal. It may not be lent, shared, sold, or used by anyone else, and it does not divide among heirs.

Annual membership is a one-time initiation fee of $500 plus annual dues of $395. Initiation is paid once and is not refundable. Dues are billed annually and renew automatically unless you tell us otherwise before the renewal date.

Rates shown on this site are current founding-membership rates and may change for new members. A founding member’s dues stay at the founding rate for as long as the membership remains current — that is a term of the founding membership, not a promotion.

Dues buy membership in the network. They do not buy any particular day, property, species, or outcome.

Each property sets its own day and access fees. They are shown before you request days, paid at the time of reservation, and go to the landowner. They are separate from dues, the club does not set them, and cancellation and refund terms for a booking are set by the property, not by the club.

Membership opens the network. It does not guarantee access to any property on any date. Every request is approved or declined by the landowner or their manager, and access may be withdrawn at any time, by them, for any reason or for none — including after a booking is confirmed.

Properties enter and leave the network. Where a property or the platform stops participating, the club may substitute access of a comparable kind; it does not owe a refund of dues for a property that is no longer available.

Founding members are entitled to the following, as terms:

• Dues held at the founding rate for as long as the membership stays current, and initiation paid once.
• One transfer of the membership to a family member or named successor without a further initiation fee.
• A place on the club’s founding roll, in the order joined, with the number given.
• A booking window on each new property before it opens to the wider membership.

The club is pre-launch and its property network is being assembled. Founding members are joining ahead of that network, which is what the founding rate reflects.

Legacy membership is a perpetual membership, limited to 50 in total and sold in two batches at the prices shown on this site. It is paid once. No initiation fee and no annual dues are payable by the original member or by any successor, at any time.

It may be passed to a successor without limit on the number of successions and without a further initiation fee. It remains a single membership held by a single person: it may not be divided among heirs or held jointly, and each holder must name their successor in writing for the succession to take effect.

Legacy members carry an annual minimum of $1,000 in combined property day and access fees. Any shortfall against that minimum is billed at the end of the membership year. A successor’s first membership year is exempt. The minimum is a floor on activity, not a fee: a member who hunts will not meet it.

Where you hold a current annual membership with another qualifying hunting, shooting, or sporting club, the club will recognise the remaining paid term of that membership against your first year of dues. Proof of payment and of the current term is required. The standard initiation fee still applies at enrolment. This recognition has no cash value, cannot be exchanged or refunded, and affects only the timing of first-year dues.

Each property’s rules are part of these terms for the time you are on it. Members are expected to hunt only the dates, hours, areas, species, and weapons approved; to observe posted limits and every state season and regulation; to leave gates as they were found; to keep vehicles where the property allows them; and to leave a place as they found it.

Hunting outside what was approved is a breach of these terms and may also be a trespass or an offence. Responsibility for that sits with the member, not with the club.

Guest policy is set by each property and shown before you book. A member is responsible for their guests, and for any minor hunting on their booking.

Boundaries, access routes, gate codes, stand positions, and parking are released on approval and are confidential. Members may not publish, post, tag, forward, or otherwise disclose them. This is the clause the landowners’ participation rests on, and breaching it ends a membership. Property and regulatory information is provided for convenience and is not a substitute for the current published regulations.

Hunting is dangerous. It carries inherent risks of serious injury and death — from firearms and archery equipment, from elevated stands, from vehicles and machinery, from terrain, weather, water, animals, and remoteness from medical care.

Members accept those risks for themselves and their guests. Properties may require you to sign a waiver and assumption-of-risk agreement before access; that agreement is between you and the property.

The club makes no warranty about the condition of any property, the presence or number of game, the conduct of any landowner, guide, outfitter, or other member, or the outcome of any hunt. Species and season windows published on this site describe what Western private ground typically holds and when; they are not an inventory of the club’s properties and not a representation that any species is available anywhere in any year. The site and the membership are provided as they are.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Western Range Club, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for injury, death, property damage, or loss arising from conduct on any property or from the acts of any landowner, guide, outfitter, member, or guest. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the dues and initiation fees you paid the club in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The club may suspend or end a membership for breach of these terms or a property’s rules, for falsified verification, for disclosing property locations, for unsafe or unlawful conduct, or for non-payment. Where conduct puts a person or a landowner relationship at risk, that may happen immediately.

You may close a membership at any time. Initiation is not refundable and dues already paid are not refunded on a voluntary exit.

These terms may change. The date at the top of the page moves when they do, and members are emailed before a material change takes effect. Continuing to hold a membership after that date is acceptance. The founding-rate and legacy commitments above are not changed by this clause — they are the terms a member joined on.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Western Range Club, LLC is a Colorado limited liability company, and the state and federal courts sitting in Colorado have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or from a membership.
